Dear Partners,I have the following immediate need:Title: : EDI AnalystDuration: 6+ month projectLocation: Portland, ORThe EDI Analyst will perform analysis, development, testing, and documentation on electronic data interchange (EDI) between customer and company. Establish technical communication in order to maintain data integrity and increase the efficiency. Function as a member of a project development team and independently for minor modifications and support. Ensure tasks are completed on a timely basis and conform to specifications/processes and standardized best practices.Responsibilities:• Participate in the review and analysis of business requirements and the configuration, mapping and management for EDI based transactions and processes.• Document system specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements.• Develop and perform testing as needed.• Participate in the deployment/implementation of customer solutions.• Participate in a self directed team environment. Collaborate with project team members and QA on development, customer issues, and security requirements.• Provide system and customer support to users including issue resolution. Accurately repair and document changes to the system as assigned.• Promote and support electronic offerings to sales staff and perspective clients.• Develop and maintain EDI training manual and system documentation.• Monitor system and performance and troubleshoot issues.Qualifications:• 3+ years of experience in IT solutions development preferably in medium to large corporate environments.• Broad range of network and desktop knowledge, including experience with EDI translators (Gentran), EDI standards, ANSI X12/EFIDACT, EDIFECS, XML, JCL, TSO, and Microsoft Office Suite.• Well developed written and verbal communication skills in customer settings and with internal management. Well developed active listening, facilitation and presentation skills.• Knowledge of transportation management.• Solid knowledge of IT software development life cycle methodologies and processes.• Well developed time management and prioritization skills.• Demonstrated analytical capabilities.
