Greetings All, Not much to mention sparrow wise on the John Burroughs Natural History Society/Forsyth Nature Center Election Day Sparrow Walk with only White-crowned and Fox to note. The highlight of the outing was an active family unit of Red-headed Woodpeckers at their "normal" location at Humpo Marsh in the dead tress south of Rt. 299 and west of the Village of New Paltz in the Town of Gardiner. This group was made up of three adults and possibly two juveniles. Please visit our website at www.jbnhs.org to learn more about other good birding locations in Ulster County and upcoming fieldtrips.
