Is there enough separation between the two polarities to run both on the
same frequency?
I'm looking to replace a 10mbps orthogon with a higher capacity link
without having to pay to price for a license upgrade on the orthogon.
I'd like to not use any more of the band than I am already using.

Both of my links are using dual polarity dishes. Horizontal and
Vertical on
one big fat happy antenna =)
If you're just trying to figure out which to use I highly advise OSPF.
If
you're #1 concern is bandwidth (and you're forced to MikroTik) then go
dual
nstreme.

I never thought about using two wds links on the same dish.
I wonder how much you would gain in this configuration over dual
nstreme?
As the nstreme requires quite a bit of horsepower once you start
pushing a
lot of traffic through the link.

Two separate boards. Right now we have an x86 Mikrotik router on both
ends,
one of the links is using RB532's and the other is actually a Redline.
This
is a 24 mile link and we are needing more capacity. At the moment
with the
limited tower space we're going to be installing some dual polarity
feedhorns in the PacWireless 2' antennas and then having three links
between
the sites.

All on one board, or using two separate boards?

We've been using equal cost OSPF routes, there's no redundancy with

Anyone using this successfully in 5.x frequencies? What boards,
cards, antennas, etc?
