Yes, that is one of the few places still using ISO-latin-1, mostly because console UTF-8 support involves non-trivial kernel work and the developers who started that work many years ago got distracted and nothing ever materialized that could be committed. If there are other areas where OpenBSD is still using ISO-latin-1, in particular in userland, i'd love to learn about that and might consider fixing it, if i'm able to. Yours, Ingo
