You can probably answer that question with a good degree of certainty by
checking whether it's now FFS1 or FFS2.

The old filesystem originally created with OpenBSD 5.x would have likely been
FFS1.  If the partition has been newfs'd with OpenBSD 7.4, it would have
defaulted to creating an FFS2 filesystem.

The first line of output from dumpfs will indicate the filesystem type.
