I think this is a slightly different effect having more to do with the
power supply than the RAM, and I've never seen it last more than about
2 seconds.  While it was like 100% reliable at 1s for my Apple II, it
only worked about 25% of the time at 2s, and never at 3s.  It faded
very quickly.
