I think it is completely off-topic, but you may find more information about this at <http://www.laquadrature.net/en>. In short, the French government want to install a new law to fight illegal downloading/sharing of files protected by copyrights. They want to create a new governmental agency (called HADOPI), wich would take orders directly from the movies/discs majors for the "three steps response", like in New Zealand. The HADOPI would also filter our Internet access. The European Parliament already refused this concept twice but, as you might already know, we have a president that seems to think he is Superman, and that he is just wright in everything he does. This law is discussed this days at the French National Assembly, and we hope they listen to us. I hope I gave you enough keyword to allow to search the Web and see for yourself.
