Very true: my machine keeps the dmesg buffer intact when it's rebooted normally, but every now and then it just spontaneously and instantly reboots (I suspect the hardware) but you've guessed it: in that case the dmesg doesn't survive the reboot... -- Jurjen Oskam Savage's Law of Expediency: You want it bad, you'll get it bad.
