Pretty much nothing in the Anarchist Cookbook actually works...a lot of the stuff is even dangerous to make. The section on phone phreaking is pretty sweet, though. If a person did, indeed, try the phone stuff, they would be able to call LD for free using the tone generator in my, er, their calculator. ;) However, it's one of those things that big brother frowns upon pretty heavilly. I wouldn't(didn't) do it more than once, just to see if it works....
