Hello all,
With the blizzard of 2000 upon us in the D.C. area, I'm seriously
disturbed with my car's performance. I'm hoping this is just my tires,
but I have a feeling it's not. Some of the symptoms follow.
Accelerating : not really, and not with my tire pressure above 15
psi. All it does is spin, and it doesn't really seem like I can slip the
clutch at all to control it.
Braking : Nope. I'm guessing this has something to do with the 11in.
brakes. They're either off or locked.
My tires aren't the best, pirelli P600s, with a good amount of tread
left. I can't really seem to find a good deal on snow tires in 15in.
Any way, it snows about twice a year here, so I don't know if I can
justify the expense. I guess I'm looking for some advice on how to
control my car as it sits now.
As a side note, I'm starting a new tally of sorts. How many times can
my car be hit with no note left? 4 in the last month and counting.
Damage: crushed passenger door, crushed drivers rear wheel arch, and two
scuffs.
