the WRC boys have 300-400+ HP and AWD and Obnoxious rally/snow/ice tires to use (plus factory support) so they can do whatever they want :-) Most use left foot braking to set their vehicles up for corners etc. Winter driving is a great way to see how that actually works, just don't do it with people around, it may cause some added pandemonium.
