Over here in Calgary, Alberta, Cananda we have gotten to about -25 C this year. That is about - 13 F. We have seen -40 C (-40 F) last winter. The first winter I drove with my GTI had Dunlop A60 (205/50/15). Big mistake. I was all over the place, could barely start going up a hill if it was icey...ect. I bought some older 14" gti rims and through some winters....night and day difference

Where exactly is here? I take it from the name that you are in or around
Scandinavia somewhere. I have seen the winters there(I have family in
Sweden), and they can be pretty harsh. I always found it strange that Volvo
took until recently to release something with AWD....
