Ok... 2.0L 16V, ported intake, ported and polished throttle body, ported and
polished head, 3 angle valve job, stock exhaust manifold mildly ported and
polished, Techtonics SS dual racing downpipe (which eliminates the cat. no
flames, we've already gone over this people...), custom bent 2.25" SS
exhaust, thinner head gasket, shaved head (higher compression), high duty
oil pump, new water pump with ported housing (flows more water), and removed
A/C. That is all that's done right now. Before I put the motor into my 85
GTI, I will have a Garrett chip, fuel pressure regulator, K&N, either Kent
or Schrick 260 deg cams, and an adjustable cam gear. Tranny-wise, I will
have decided to use a 2Y box with a ring and pinion out of an FF box. (the
ratio is between the 4K's ratio and the stock 16v ratio, but more towards
the 4K ratio.) I will also have a Centerforce clutch. After I become less
impressed with the power, I will probably trade in my cams for a higher
degree, put a set of titanium valve retainers, and higher rate titanium
valve springs.

I might have missed something, but I doubt it...

Any other suggestions for power gains? I love to smoke those cocky rice rickets!
