I think that's exactly backwards - the rubber front mount, similar to
the imfamous A1 passenger side mount, fails after X thousand miles
and has been retrofitted with different style of mount which is
similar to that of the passenger rear mount.  FWIW, the early style
mount is NOT what VW Motorsport copied for their mounts - go figure.
