Thanks, Chris!

OK, so now I disconnect the High Pressure Switch and run the motor over 2k
rpm- voila, buzzer says "hello". Then I take the wire and run it to ground-
the buzzer goes off. I think this means the switch is bad, yes? Or do I
have a short somewhere in the system?

Thanks,
Brice

Brice:

AFAIK there are only two oil pressure senders on the 16v. Both are mounted
on the oil filter flange. I wouldn't think that you damaged the sensor by
washing your motor. Pressure washing could have loosened the contact,
helped to further damage a sender wire, etc.

The sensor on the head is the oil temp sender.

OK,

I think I did a dumb thing. I wanted to clean out my engine bay and went to
a car wash. It didn't have very much pressure so I thought I wouldn't do
any harm and it was the "engine degreasing" mode. Well, now I have the low
oil pressure light coming on and buzzing like hell (EXCRUTIATINGLY
annoying) after the car has run for a few minutes. I know there are 2, but
I can't find the .3 bar one in my Bentley. Everything leads to it being the
one up by the cams (according to the diagnosis the manual offers), but they
don't show where it is. I think what happened is that I fried one of the
sensors and just need to replace it. Where
is the low pressure one towards the top of the motor? I have checked the
high pressure switch and it seems to be fine. Also, the car is running fine
and I just changed the oil (with the correct OEM filter) and neither the oil
temp or motor temp are running high. HELP!!!!
