How did you fix it? My Jetta GLI has the same problem. My odometer only works when it's cold outside and now that summer is upon us it doesn't ever work at all. All the other gauges work fine however.
-Andy 88 Jetta GLI 16v >Until I noticed my odometer decided to stop spinning everyonce in awhile. Turns out it would work some of the time, and other times it would just sit there. Fixed that, and my milage is back up to normal. (i calculate my milage based on # of gallons and Miles traveled).
