Hey 16vs,
I dropped off my baby at the dealer yesterday for the heater core which is
apparently not part of the recall. The initial call from the dealer was
that VWoA was not covering this. A followup call to VWoA resulted in them
giving a courtesy call to the dealer who then informed me that he had spoken
to the right department at VW and it would be covered.
Should be done today, let's see how things turn out. So far a new
dealership here in The Bronx, NY (F&S Motors) has handled this very well
with little hassle.
I asked him to quote me for fixing the AC condenser which has a leak. I am
still waiting for a price on this. I figured while they had the dash off, I
might have them fix this. I hope they don't quote it as a separate job
with its own R&R cost.
