Is the replacement a NEW one, or a new-to-you one? There are two o-rings on the 16v Dizzy.. On on the outside shaft, one on the inside.. The inside one is tough to replace, and VW doesn't stock the part anymore, but a suitable replacement can be found quite easily. NAPA can find a comparable o-ring. Unfortunately, NAPA isn't open on Sunday's... At least not around here =) Ricky in Winchester (drives a honda now)
