Hi, I've been trying to use this program for a couple weeks and it seems really promising. However, I am not sure I understand its model of going from short-term to long-term memory. Supposedly, if I hit "1", this means that I didn't know the answer but that the answer was very familiar once I saw it. If I hit "2", this means that I remembered the answer and to schedule the repetition some number of days in the future.
The problem is that it seems that the first time I rate a card 2 (after previously rating it 1), there is a good chance I won't remember it 24 hours later, especially if I just saw it (and rated it 1) within the past five minutes. However, it seems that rating a card 2 the first time after rating it 1 does not guarantee that the card will be scheduled for my next session. On the other hand, I don't need to keep seeing the same card over and over again every few seconds if I remember it for the moment. I need a button that says "keep this card rated 1, but reschedule it for tomorrow because I have seen it enough for today." Any advice? - Aaron -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "mnemosyne-proj-users" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
