Indeed. By hitting 2, you tell Mnemosyne that you think you will be
able to remember it tomorrow, or in a few days.

You shouldn't interpret 2 as 'I remember it', but more like 'i think
I'll be able to remember it tomorrow'

It could indeed also be the day after tomorrow.

What helps in that case is adding more unknown cards and/or increasing
the 'number of grade 0 cards to hold in my hand' setting. That will
give some more variety in the cards popping up.

OTOH, if you feel you're seeing the same cards over and over again and
not making any progress, then it's time to close the program and take
a break :-)
