You should buy a phone which runs at least on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, later editions recommended. The phone should have minimum 1GHz Dual Core processor and 1GB of RAM. 4-inch or more size screen is better to comfortable typing. but it is depends on the user. I can type 4.3-inch screen even portrait mode. but can not by every one. 8MP camera for optional for OCR usage. Most of the Manufactures customise the OS for their branding. so there is chance to remove Talkback or decrease the accessibility. As I heard, Sony and HTC are not recommended to us due to customisation. Samsung is best in this matter. Most of the default apps are accessible. You can install 3rd party accessible Apps to make the phone accessible. Lastly, select a good brand. Samsung is best among top brands. But if you can't pay more or don't want to pay higher price since low cost high end models are availlable in Market, you can consider Micromax or Xolo. these brands are popular among our friends. also you will get good models according to your budget. other things to note: The phone should have expandable storage and removable battery.
