Interesting, my mileage indeed does vary here. ;-) We have a few
internal lists with experts and without reply-to-mangling, and every
once in a while, a mail dedicated to the list only reaches the original
poster, which is odd. :)
What we do on our public lists is the following:
1. We remove any existing Reply-To-header.
2. We set the Reply-To-header to the list.
Would you like to avoid both? Or would simply removing #1 do? That, in a
nutshell, would mean:
1. If you simply send a message to the list, the Reply-To gets fixed to
the list, i.e. replies are always sent to the list.
2. If you set a Reply-To, this will be preserved, but the list will be
*added* to the current Reply-To-header.
Would that do?
