It works fine. I had assigned setting in the
httpd.conf file, but I failed to notice the
.htaccess file in the eg/ directory. So no
matter what I set in httpd.conf, the .htaccess
file overrid everything.
I figured this out when I did a file containing
text search for
PerlSetVar StateDir /tmp/asp_demo
in the entire apache directory upon your
suggestion.
