An American Mod here who has seen the ebb and flow of enthusiam for all
things "Mod" among the general US population for over 15 yrs. One thing I
must always remind myself of is that eventually a new "trend" will emerge.
When it does all the boys and girls that have conspicously consumed all we
hold dear will release it to purchase all the "new gear" they need to be
part of whatever scene they now hold fast to. Anyone seem to remember swing
dancing in So Cal? How many zoot suits are now finding there way into
consignment shops? Or mouldering away in closets. Over the last decade I
have bought 2 scooters off of ex "Mods" who let them go for a song. In the
mean time, all that happens is we simply continue to live our lives, and
possibly lead by example. For now I am happy to see it once again on the
rise, it will "die" down again in a short time, and I am looking for an SX.
