Dear Mr. Electro,
If you read my last email carefully, you would see
that I really wasn't bitching about those clubs out in
Pomona and Upland. My original question remains why
there seems to be a rash of them happening out in
those areas, when traditionally LA had been capable of
drawing promoters of mod/60s club. Again, is it
financial reasons? That doesn't amount to bitchiness;
rather, it's a matter of preference of wanting to
drive far or not. By the way, you don't know what
part of Pasadena I live in. It takes me twenty minutes
to get to Silver Lake, and that's by suface streets.
Pomona by streets is about 40 mins.
And that comment you made about Spaceland shows how
little you know about what else goes on in Silver
Lake. Clubs do exist outside this admitedly "shitty
indie" haunt. I'm talking about the occasional clubs
at different venues in LA county. You can't even say
Pomona or Upland are in LA county.
