Thanks. That's applied.
I'm wondering if there's a good way to test this (possibly outside of
the t/ directory) so we know if the merge will break anything.
Scenarios:
1. Module::Build::Version (no installed version.pm)
2. pure-perl version.pm
3. compiled version.pm
And for each of those, some modules with D.DD and vD.D.D and qv(D.D.D)
etc combinations, probably involving Module::Build::ModuleInfo
I guess the test would require arguments for where your various versions
of version are (hence: 'outside of t/'.) Something like that.
