The META.yml spec allows anyone to add their own keywords without clashing by
simply using an upper case letter.  I don't see how adding a PurePerl keyword
would cause any sort of problem, it's part of the design.

Both Module::Build and MakeMaker have ways to add your own keywords to META.yml.
