That ground clearence on my hairdrier was a pain, it was even worse than a TVR 
S2 I had 20 years ago and that was bad ! On all sleeping policeman but 
especially big ones, going very slowly laterally is the only option I could 
find to avoid the horrid grate noise and I mean slowly, i.e. 4 mph max

Yes 
Peter Mulberry does a conversion sump , which I believe helps , but for the 
most virulent of sleeping policemen , I guess slowing down is going to 
inevitable even with 20mm of additional clearance.
