Replacing the pennant is easy if (If!) you can get the  keel far enough off
the ground to let it drop so you can get to the attachment. It's just a line
with a knot in it that nestles in a hole in the board. No need at all to
remove the board. Most of the work is getting the boat into a position where
the board can drop.
