Hi Stan, I have a Honda 2 HP short shaft on my M15, using a Fulton lift mount, and it works fine.
Obviously, if you have the engine running and then go to the bow, the prop might come out of the water momentarily if you have any waves, but this is of no concern to me. I find that the short shaft Honda and the M15 are a great combination.
