I guess it would all depend on where you anchor and when. If this were to be a lunch hook while you were out for the day, I'd say yes.
I have a Fortress anchor on Audasea, but have never used it. It's a backup anchor. My primary is a 9# Delta, with 15' of 1/4 Chain, and 150' of 3/8" twisted nylon. The Fortress carries the same rode. The problem with the Fortress types as primaries, for overnights, etc., is that while they have phenomenal holding power in soft mud, sand, etc, they primarily work with a straight line pull. Once set, and as long as the pull is from the same direction, they aren't going to budge. BUT, if the boat swings and the pull is from 90 degrees.....or worse still....from 180 degrees, they can flip out and drag...maybe they will catch.....or maybe they will just continue to drag. The CQR's, Deltas, Bruces, etc. tend to just turn and follow the boat. If they do let go, they tend to set themselves again rather quickly. In total, I have 3 anchors on the boat, and in all....about 600' of rode. For local trips, half of that is coming out. I don't need the extra weight. For extended trips, it will probably go back in.
