The Garmin 478 Marine is out and looks the same as a 276. Made to swap
between boat and car. It was released a few months ago and has the g2 charts
for
all of coastal USA and City Navigator preloaded...but no inland lakes. They
also have a 378 Inland and is preloaded with the City Navigator and inland
lakes...but no coastal. Both talk, walk and all that jazz. Preloaded charts
are a
big savings over base units if you are considering purchasing additional
charts. The 478 lists around $998 and if it follows the same trend as other
units will be down to approx $600 later this year.
