Good to hear from you! Actually, I have a modified hook I bought from
Larry Yake and bent to sort of work. It is mounted on the forward end
of the boom; but I still haven't got the shape right. What I've been
doing is using a short line thru the luff reef grommet, one end
looped around the hook, the other pulled down to a horn cleat near
the mast base. It is still a work in progress.
By the way, we had another nice time in the San Juans. Come join us
again!

We can't change the wind, but we can trim our sails.

HI Gary,
Hope all is well with you....
As far as reefing goes, for fastening the tack of the mainsail, are
you
using a ram's horn on the mast, or a hook arrangement that goes to
a cleat?
Thanks,
Bones
