Larry, Your M17 (sister ship to mine) is 30 years old but you would never know it, I've seen her and what a beauty. I wish mine was as pristine as yours. I finally did rebuild the foredeck on mine, removing all the saturated balsa core and layering in new fiberglass, and core-mat with epoxy. A painstaking, messy job, but now finished and out of the way. My M17 is ready for the next big traveling adventure! As far as gas mileage goes, I have never calculated it with my Yamaha 4Hp 4 stroke. I'll refer all to Gary Hyde's figures.
