Hi Rick,
Welcome to you, and you've got a fine boat there. I met Walt when he was
showing his boat at Annapolis (Fall '05), and Bob Eeg was there with him. I
went to the show focused on a different boat, but the M17 sure caught my
eye. I was living in Connecticut at the time, and arranged to drive back
down to Annapolis to meet Walt again a few weeks after the show. We had a
great sail on his Monty that day in windy conditions, and that really made
it clear to me that the design of the M17 was superb. I was really
impressed by how stiff the boat felt in the chop and gusty conditions.
Walt's boat wasn't for sale at the time, so I ended up getting one direct
from Bob.
