Well said Frank and Mark! I agree. I seem to recall the coast of Oregon is where they do training for coast guard rescue personnel and Navy Seals due to the wild conditions.
Personally, I'm out sailing to enjoy myself, relax, experience nature, meet with fellow small boats owners, and to explore. Granted, we will all sooner or later experience trying conditions, but I won't be looking for them. More snow on the way for me...
