I know how you feel skipper Bones. The teak on the Pelican (M15) found its self far from Bristol. I removed much of the teak from the haul with the idea of possibly replacing it. I thought I would at least try to restore it. I used West Marine teak cleaning kit which worked wonderful. Since the teak was off of the boat I was able to properly block sand it without sanding the fiberglass. Just replaced it with new teak plugs. Looks like new.
Oh and I confess I to am a teak oiler. * Hey nobody is perfect!* Captain James A, Sadler skipper sailing vessel Pelican (M-15) On Jan 22, 2008 7:16 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Listers, > > Well, I don't wish to open a full blown discussion about the best way to treat our teak, as we all have our own ideas, but, I was wondering if anyone has used the Semco or Penofin oil products. > My M23 teak is going to get some serious attention this spring, it has raised grain and needs to be sanded smooth.
