The OEM tank for my 5 HP Honda fits in just barely and just the right angle.
Maybe the hose fitting could be changed out so you could use such a tank.

Try Academy or West Marine for replacement fuel tank. For God's sake, don't
try to cram a 6-gallon tank in there. You'll have to cut the tank out like I
did. Attwood makes 3-gallon tanks and so does Moeller. Moeller is the better
one, but more $$$. Usually you have to buy the hose connection separately
unless you can salvage the one off your old tank.
