Interesting discussion. I got mine years ago, about a year after the movie was released theatrically, as I recall.
It wasn't hot at the time, but as soon as I saw it I wanted one, a combination of the great design and the fact that I also collect toy robots. Thought the poster would look great as a backdrop for my collection. Meanwhile, it's still sitting rolled up in a tube somewhere and my bot collection is now in storage...
