I think in the last couple of years certain cities have been testing the
waters reference
"Immanent Domain" being used to replace various structures or locations
(land areas with private homes), not for public use; but for use by Private
Corporations, Business, etc. The reasons used are that the "betterment" of
the community should receive strong considerations. Extra taxes,
etc..........................New London, CT was the precedent! The
homeowners lost for all practical purposes; they did sue and receive some
financial consideration above what was originally offered;
however,..............they were moved out!..............I' m sure this
could happen in LA...............Vaughn

the city of LA (nor any city) cannot just randomly go in and close down
places of business without a reason, whether they be "mom n pop" stores or
other... we may be a lot of things here but we are not the former USSR....lol

Sabin probably closed the store because the City of LA decided to close
all the mom and pop stores on Hollywood & Vine to make room for the W

I noticed the Sabin Gray's Backlot Books down the street seems to have
closed as well.
I stopped by today and it looked as though they were in the process of
cleaning it out. I know there was a fire on the block not long ago. I
don't know if the two were related.
