That's about what I thought, Rich. The reason I brought it up wasn't to quibble with Ron or to say anything about the particular sale or sales he had in mind, but rather because I've seen sellers on eBay and in other places quoting the First Sale doctrine as though it immunized their movie posters, press kits, and such from "VERO" claims of the sort that get items pulled and sometimes get sellers banned.
I'd also like to take a point of personal privilege and apologize to Jackson Browne for calling him a "leftwing environmentalist tool." Jackson, let me know what term you prefer - "activist," "supporter," "booster," "fountain of sorrow," whatever. And please don't add me to your lawsuit.
