Hey, CK, just so you know, I have several bus shelter posters for sale and while most are 4'x6' some are an inch or two smaller by width and length which I just realized is because they are British Bus Shelters (note they say "In Cinemas November 18). While my U.S. FINDING NEMO Bus Shelters are true 4'x6' while the HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE Set of 4 are approx: 46"x 68" (they are here: http://flickr.com/ photos/55172...@n00/ As for shipping, they roll great and you just need a long enough tube. 49"-50" usually does it. The cost
of shipping due to their weight is another issue entirely.

As I now look at the seller's other items, I'm thinking this one came from a package of (would-be?) commercial large format posters. It's not clear how they got they idea that they were "subway" posters. This KILL BILL is the
only one I've noticed that even resembles a real movie poster.

As a side note on the bus shelter speculation, US bus shelter posters are typically ca. 4'x6', not 40x60, and no one would confuse them with regular paper, even heavy stock. Shipping them or any 40x60 First Class, as this seller promises to do, would also be something of a trick. If for some reason I found myself seized with the desire to purchase one of these, I'd
want to know what he really intends to do about shipping.

I think that pretty much solves the "mystery," such as it is.

Thanks to all for the thoughts on the subject.

yes I forgot to mention bus shelter posters are that size, but I had
never seen a Kill Bill
but still.. all bus shelter posters I have gotten that were unused
were also wrapped in brown paper

the key there is what material it is printed on. Bus shelters are
those heavy plastic posters. If it's a paper poster.. definite crap

it's crap Colin

first of all, subway posters are horizontal (unless it's been
changed. I haven't been to NYC in 16 years)
second, his description says:
It's out of print original stock but new never hung and comes in its
original plastic sleeve. It will look sweet hanging on any wall
framed or not. So bid already and have a great day!

40x60s that I have gotten in recent years (from recent films) that
were unused were wrapped in brown paper

The seller has this "KILL BILL Subway Poster" in an obviously wrong
category
(repro/1980s), but apparently told one of our customers that it was
"found"
as is, encouraging hope that it's some kind of original. Anyone
have a good
idea WHAT it really is? I have some foggy recollection that
Moviegoods or
someone was making or offering to make large format repros.
