Absolutely Tom,

The nearest I got to meeting Scorsese was when I attended a red carpet world
premiere of Casino in London. I used to work at a local cinema and a select few
were invited. All very posh with dickie bows and evening wear. Eric Clapton
brushed shoulders past me, felt way out of my depth lol

I have had very good email conversations with Scorsese's archivist and
secretary since then whilst trying to get some information on a Stausfeld Mean
Streets Quad. i.e, Does he have one... And also whilst trying to get him to
endorse The Movie Poster Forum, He did pass on a personal message which was
very nice "Wishing you the best of luck with The Movie Poster Forum and in
encouraging others to appreciate the magical art of film posters" - I'll keep
persevering with the endorsement but am not holding my breath, I think he is
inundated with those kind of things and ideas.

I did email them this afternoon to suggest the "A Century of Movie Posters"
Documentary/film idea, fingers crossed, better to have loved and lost than
never to have loved before.

Andy

Wouldn't mind at all, tho it was only meant as a humorous aside, and
I fear he may have a few more pressing projects up his sleeve. I'm still
waiting in anticipation for his documentary on British film that he's been
working on with Ms Schoonmaker for xx years now. With that, directing major
new feature films, and restoring old ones, he's certainly not a man who
likes to sit still.

  Paul,

That is a slendid idea. I might suggest it to his secretary and archivist
if you don't mind me stealing your suggestion?
