I guess Scorsese thought that DiCaprio was SO convincing as Howard
Hughes, in THE AVIATOR, that playing Sinatra should be a shoe in. Not
a good casting choice, at all.
i no more bought him in that role, either.
He is Scorsese's current flavor of the month (or last few years), by
all accounts.

Shutter Island does look good yes, can't wait to see it - The
Cinematography is by Robert Richardson, he also did Inglourious
Basterds, The Aviator, Kill Bill, Nixon, Casino, Natural Born
Killers, Platoon and a few others
The Film Editing is by Thelma Schoonmaker (As usual)
I'm not a big DiCaprio fan myself but I'm sure Scorsese will make
it work with his latest favourite pet.
