I remember MOPO when the Almanac and Warren's guide were about the only real pricing tools...before the Almanac began approving sellers.
Mostly, I remember my first post. I sent a want list for many AA best picture one sheets. I wanted very specific styles, so I includes picture attachments for many of them. Man, did I get hammered! I received the most vicious and nasty emails I had ever seen...just boatloads of emails cussing me for filling inboxes with attachments. I posted an apology, but was hammered for that as well. I had no idea how some people acted on this forum. Fortunately, there were a handful of MOPO members who emailed me privately about some of the members behavior and encouraged me to have thick skin and hang around. I'm glad I did. I was able to spend a lot of money and have a lot of fun. I've also made some good friends along the way. I know at least one MoPo member that has kept in touch with Eugene - he ripped me off bigtime and I want to speak with him about making things right. Anyone protecting Eugene is really just an accomplice in theft, as far as I am concerned. Any help would be appreciated. As far as MoPo - remember 10 years ago when OT posts were not ridiculed into oblivion? Where we actually talked about all things, including all things posters, as well as our lives? Scott runs a good show here, always has, and hopefully always will. There are a lot of lurkers that rarely post anymore, myself included, so please do not think that MoPo is only 20-30 regular posters - it's not, just like a squeeky wheel and all that.
