The changes are working OK for me but I dont know if they will ultimately be a good thing for eBay. Sellers who take the time to work out how the system works can manipulate their listings so that they appear high in the searches. However, most dont have the time to work the system and their listings become lost. Many sellers have given up on auctions and now just concentrate on fixed price listings.
The big problem for eBay is that they keep changing their groundrules. The end result is that they have lost many great sellers like Bruce and Rich and others who have set up successful websites. Year to year for the middle of Spring, business traffic is off from about 60 Million to 50 Million. There's some discussion of this situation in the following article: http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y10/m05/i19/s01 Any comments would be of interest, Thanks, Channing Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___________________________________________________________________ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: lists...@listserv.american.edu In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.
