I was a fan of Rickman ever since his breakthrough role in "Die Hard". He was
superb in a little-seen film called "Truly, Madly, Deeply"...hell, he was great
in everything he appeared in. There are certain actors who elevate even a
crappy movie at least to watchability; Rickman was one of those guys. That
voice....
And what's the deal with cancer? Doesn't it seem that a LOT more people have
the Big Casino than when I was younger? People were dying of heart attacks and
strokes back then. Troubling.
Lastly...since I'm 66, it appears I have 3 years to get my affairs in order.
I'd better try to score that "Invisible Ghost" one sheet ASAP. (Hey, at least I
made a small attempt to keep this post on topic at the end...)
