The Funko angle is news to me, too. My guess is they would end up making
massed-produced copies, NFTs, mugs, trading cards, etc. of the Mondo key art.

What I’ve found, however, is that lesser copies made of something will often
increase the value of the higher-quality original by making the image more
mainstream. Value passes up the line to the finest example. For instance,
cheap poster copies of the Mona Lisa distributed around the world have made the
original painting iconic and its value stratospheric. Without reproductions,
fewer people would have even known the original exists. If only one Forbidden
Planet Half Sheet was ever printed, how would know about it to want it?

A cheap copy or magnet made of the best Creature Mondo poster only serves to
stir awareness and demand for the original Limited print. Therefore, maybe it's
time to buy into Mondo at this junction before Funko spends millions of dollars
and man-hours making the world aware of the original sitting in your
collection. (Bruce - What’s my cut on this post - a Mondo that falls off the
truck?)

I do not have a single Mondo in my collection so I literally have no investment
in them myself. But, perhaps they are a good buy for the future. When I took my
mint Forbidden Planet Half Sheets out of the trash 50 years ago, it was a
decade before I sold my first one for $75.

Here’s some info to plug into your Mondo-investment mindset. The Academy is
collecting them. That, my dear Mopos, is truly the long game.
But I still say, don’t buy anything you don’t love, because you’re going to
have to live with it.

Here’s a question for the thread. What does anyone that collects Mondo consider
their top Mondo prints and why? Extra credit: Feel free to include artists'
names and what you know about them.
