I was always ask what's the best posters to sell and they sell forvarious reasons it could've been A MEMORY OR A FILM THAT GARNERED LOTSOF INTEREST, OR COULD BE THAT THE PERSON WAS COLLECTING I'M AN ACTOR ORDIRECTOR OR WRITER AND SO THEY TRY TO ACQUIRE STORICO BACKGROUND OF THATFILMMAKER OR ACTOR OR CREATOR

WHEN I CHOSE TITLES TO INVEST IN IT WAS BASICALLY IS THE MOVIE BUFF LIKEIN THE MOVIES I WOULD CHOOSE WHAT IMPRESSED ME LIKE RAIDERS OF THE LOSTSTAR STAR WARS BLADE RUNNER MANY OF THE POPULAR 80S MOVIES BACK TO THEFUTUREJUST TRYING TO PICK OUT WHAT WILL BE THE BEST SELLERS I ALWAYS GET SOMEMARILYN MONROE MATERIAL GONE WITH THE WIND CASABLANCA AND ALMOST ANY OFTHE MONSTER FILMS RELATED TO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS THE GENRES BECAME ACRITICAL POINT AND FOR SOME REASON THE MOST DESIRED TITLE WHO ARE THEECLECTIC SCI-FI MOVIE MONSTERS TITLESAS WELL AS CLASSIC MOVIES OF THE 30S AND 40S THAT ARE STILL POPULAR EVENTODAY

WHAT'S FUNNY IS THERE ARE MANY POSTERS THAT STILL WILL SELL FOR MANYDIFFERENT REASONS I WOULD ALWAYS TELL COLLECTORS AND DEALERS BY WHAT YOUWOULDN'T MIND GETTING STUCK WITH AS IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW WHATITEMS WILL CONTINUE THIS SONG

A good example of is model railroad trains toys like Lionel trains backin the 50s and 60s it was a big thing to collect toy trains and have abig layout I have one myself with a s gauge American fLYERHowever that DemOgraphic Age group is dying out supermarket becauseyoung people don't want to collect toy trains no matter how good theyare

How would assume the same rules apply with movie posters

Current age groups not exactly interested in vintage western cowboyfilms like Hop Along Cassidy and the lake

Yep the classic horror films genre seems to be holding its ground justAS and music

rolled copy ..i was happy to obtain the mondo screen print in mint
condition with it layered colors giving the water the perfect blue
color ..I also like that many mondo are 24x36 so they fit into a

riddled with suspect bootlegs & fakes now. Double sided posters are
now easily reproduced and even harder to spot.

The screen printing or giclee w/texture layers techniques are unique
and hard to imagine being bootlegged. I've seen 11x14 fakes on eBay
but anyone with sense would know to avoid. Prints are also limited
runs with just a handfull of APs... There are enough collectors to
make a 200 poster run of a hot title scarce.

I have given in and see continued demand with limited supplies for
these. It is also a entirely different set of collectors and they
are mingling with us original poster junkies now for sure. I think a
nice blend of both is now a good healthy collection.

Well said, Alan.

My take on 10,000 Mondos being sold in a couple of months is that
INVESTORS see this as bad for business, but that COLLECTORS see this
as an incredible buying opportunity.

Happy holidays to all, and here's hoping 2023 is better than the
past few years (that isn't setting the bar very high, but we have to
start somewhere)!

ever increased in value.

I still pull stuff out of the trash, care for it, and love it.
I even go after the stuff nobody else wants, finding beauty in the

Collect and invest in what you like because the true treasure is
always in the eye of the beholder.
There’s no guarantee for success in this crazy world, but have a
good time along the way and success becomes a bonus.
The monster poster you pick up off the floor in an old theater 50
years ago pays your light bill for a month.

Is there ANYBODY left out there who still thinks these posters are a
safe investment??? Mondo seemed a fun idea when they first started
out, but now the sheer number of them is simply inflationary.

I'm not saying it is impossible to make money with Mondo posters,
but the idea of an 'automated' or 'guaranteed' profit' is plain
silly at this point.

That said, I also bought a Mondo poster this year, the lobby card
style for HALLOWEEN that can be seen here:

This is still fairly easily found for about $100, so it's a far cry
from the expensive Mondos on this title. I like it because it
reminds me of the House scene from PSYCHO, which has always been one

In person, the Mondo poster is much nicer than the image suggest,
but again: I bought it because I liked it, not as an investment in
the first place. Although I have little doubt that I will be able to
generate a small profit with this one in the long run.
