Hi Peter,

By 'analytic inquiry' I mean problem solving using analytical skills.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Analytical_skills

While it's nice to suggest we should be all that we can be, motherhood, apple pie, &etc., it's just a slogan before enlisting in the army.

I am in a bit of a snit. Think I'll blame it on the moon, and go for a long walk.

Thanks for responding.

Hi Marsha,

I like your definitions.

'Analytic enquiry' conjures images of reasonable problem solving via subject
object logic for me; I consider subject object metaphysics as a slightly
whimsical intellectual practice. I can't reconcile SOM as the 4th level; SOL
yes, but SOM merely an indulgent diversion.

Also, the conditioning force of social convention sounds right on the nose
too.

I've lost my temper with some people in moq_discuss before now; when that
happens it's an indication that I've lost 'it'. No big deal, I can look for
'it' again. 'It', the overview, the MoQ point of view, enlightenment, is a
momentary thing; it can happen for me when I realise I have unconsciously
contracted my whole body and that my awareness of my self has shrunk to my
frontal lobe. Remembering my body is the quickest way out of gumption traps
for me.

Ron,

I would think that analytic inquiry is an intellectual tool (pattern) to

develop better patterns.

I'm a conventional girl, living in a conventional world. And I'm not
sure I
have other choices available at the moment, or would have it any other
way.
How would one arrive at the conclusion that the MOQ is a better
world-view
than SOM if not for some good healthy analytic inquiry? How would one
understand that entities are empty of inherent existence, if not for
some
good healthy analytic inquiry? I'm not sure I'd be participating in
this
forum if it wasn't for my interest in analytic inquiry. (But I will
admit I
like to whirl and twirl into the moonlight when the mood hits me.)

I'm not getting your objection.

Marsha,
This is because you are already there, My reply
was more towards those who are not.

You have it Marsha, You understand.

-Ron

Ron,

I'm not anywhere. I trying to see if the Intellectual Level and Social
Level defined as follow works for others.

Intellectual Level: Thought (patterns) established and emerging from
analytic inquiry.

Social Level: Thought (patterns) established by the force of convention.
